I am building a flow that populates a Word template. When I use the "Populate a Microsoft Word template" action from the Word Online (Business) connector, I only see about 60 or 61 columns available to populate.
The documentation doesn't list any limits on the number of properties you can populate in the Word template, but I am wondering if it is actually 60?
It looks like there’s no official documentation saying there’s a limit to how many fields you can populate in a Word template using the “Populate a Microsoft Word template” action in Power Automate. But in practice, many users—including you—have noticed that only about 60 to 61 fields show up.
So while it’s not a published limit, it does seem like there’s a cap, possibly due to how the connector handles data behind the scenes.
What you can try:
-Split your template into sections or multiple documents if you need more fields.
-Group data using tables or nested structures to reduce the number of individual fields.
-Use multiple flows or intermediate storage (like SharePoint or OneDrive) to handle larger datasets.
If this fixes the issue, please mark as resolved to help others with find it.
Happy to help.
