Power Automate - Building Flows
Answered

The Mail connector is currently restricted for new tenants Microsoft is working on enabling this connector. In the meantime, please consider using alternatives like Office 365 Outlook, Gmail, SendGrid connector instead.

Just a note: This problem relates to someone I know who is using a trial version of Power Automate

They are using the Power Automate template 'Click a button to email a note'. When they replace the 'User email' with another email belonging to someone other person like so:

The flow fails with the following error:

Here is the error message:

"The Mail connector is currently restricted for new tenants Microsoft is working on enabling this connector. In the meantime, please consider using alternatives like Office 365 Outlook, Gmail, SendGrid connector instead."

I'm not sure why this error message is appearing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Shuvam-rpa. I tried using 'Send an email (V2)' with Outlook but it still did not work. So I did the following:

    1. Checked to see if I can sign in using my credentials in: https://outlook.live.com/owa/

    I go the following error:

This made it clear to me that I do not have an 'Exchange Online' (mailbox) with Outlook. I had purchased my mailbox with NameCheap which does not integrate with Microsoft products well. I can login Outlook desktop app if i  customise the connection and proxy settings. In order to have an Outlook mailbox on the cloud (and have it work on Power Automate for Outlook connections) one must have an 'Exchange Online' subscription.

    2.  I chose to register for a free one month trial with 'Microsoft Business Basic' which allows one to assign up to 25 free mailboxes. I then assigned a mailbox to the same email address I was using earlier.

    3. I then tried to login to Outlook and I was able to login with no issues.

    4. I then returned to Power Automate and ran the flow again using 'Send an email (V2)' with Outlook and it worked this time.

If my reply helped you, please give a 👍, & if it solved your issue, please 👍
