Is this possible? Forms to OneNote

Hey all;

Just started looking at Flow and I am wondering if something is possible.

I currently coach a rowing team and use Onenote to manage the team. I have a class notebook setup so that each athlete has their own personal section in which they keep their training log, notes, etc and I can put things in as well as well as review.

Each athlete is required to keep a daily training log. Right now, that is just a page in their notebook for each day that I manually put in and they fill out.

What I am wondering if I can do is instead create a Microsoft Form where they fill out the daily training log. Afterwards I am wondering if it is possible to create a Flow where the results will be put in THEIR section of the Onenote class notebook?

This may be too complicated and not possible...but I thought it was worth a try.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi @CoachPatton,

Do you want to put the response of your Microsoft Forms into a specific section of OneNote?

I have made a test on my side and please take a try with the following workaround:

    • Add a "When a new response is submitted" trigger, specify Form Id.
    • Add a "Apply to each" action, input parameter set to output of the trigger.
    • Within "Apply to each" action, add a "Get response details" action, specify Form Id and Response ID field set to Response Id dynamic content of the trigger.

Add a "Create HTML table" action, From field set to output of the trigger, Include Headers field set to Yes and Columns field set to Custom. Within Header-Value map entries, type the Dynamic Response contents that you want to display within the HTML table:3.JPG

Add a "Create page in a section" action, Page Content field set to output of "Create HTML table" action.

The flow works successfully as below:6.JPG

    Best regards,

    Hi Kris,

Thanks for your reply. I think I was thinking of something similar and have created a flow that when the user submits the form it generates a page in a section of my notebook called "To Review"

What I am wondering is if anyone can think of some way - that doesn't require programming each time I get a new athlete - where when an athlete submits the form it creates a page in their own section of the notebook, depending on which athlete completes it.

For example, if Jack fills out the form it will create a page in Jack's section of the class Notebook but if Miles fills out the form it creates a page in Miles' section of the notebook.

Not sure if this is possible, but thought I would try.

    Hi

Did you ever manage to get this working. I’m new to Flow but looking to do exactly the same. IE form submits page to specific students’ section dependent on the student who submits it.
