Patch() Function saving number values as 0 in a SharePoint Online list

Hello,

I'm attempting to save items to a SharePoint Online list using the Patch() function. My list is simple i.e. not lookup or calculated columns. However, I haven't been successful at saving a numerical value in a SharePoint Online List's number column. I'm not getting errors but the values saved are all 0 i.e. zero. 

 

Currently, I'm trying to patch using Value as shown below. It does work for drop downs but doesn't for a Text

 Any ideas why this is happening and is there a workaround?

    Ha! Looks like there is an easy way to do this.

     

    In the properties I changed the format from Text to Number and that did the trick. I still had to keep the Value. Hope this helps someone else!
