power automate desktop not connecting to browser extension

I have installed the latest versions of power automate desktop and browser extension, and I'm using the Microsoft Edge browser, before the latest update come, it worked perfectly, but after the update it's not working.

Every time I run the flow it shows this error: "Failed to assume control of Microsoft Edge (Communication with browser failed. Try reloading extension)."

I tried changing the browsers and uninstall and reinstall, restart the computer, but didn't solved it. so do anyone has solution for this error?

Having the same issue with the Chrome extension since the 16th December and looking at the reviews for the extension it's clear that we're not the only ones having this issue.

hey @Dachster this method sloved my errors and it is working perfectly now, you can try it.

Remove windows store version of PAD, install with MSI installer after:
Try installing using MSI Installer

@dinuk Hi, i tried the solution uninstalling microsoft store version and install MSI version (with the lastest extension installed above than v2.27) but browser automation actions dont work yet, the action is executing "correctly" changing text with javascript but nothing happens with the input in webpage, and with fill text browser field action launch error in "errorPAD.pdf", Can anyone help me with the problem?

hi @jsgutierrez, I have not fully cleared your issue with this details you provided.

if the action is executing correctly, it must be 2 possible reasons
1. a wrong attribute value you chose for the Javascript
2. some kind of actions not working with Javascript in web automation

sometimes I had this issues with Javascript and then I tried the normal method with choosing elements, after that its had work correctly.
