Created a combo box in a canvas app, based on a choice that has been create in Dataverse for Microsoft Teams. See example below:

Try setting the Items property to just Years, or whatever the plural for your option is under advanced settings. The Choices syntax is for SharePoint.
Solution found: 'TableName'.Year [Type: Table]
Choices can be used for Dataverse tables, but it's commonly used for Edit forms.

I want to mention that this will only provide the choices that are within the table not all the options you have. I believe similar to "Distinct" . I tried this and since I have items that don't have a certain status it won't show that as an option in the combobox. Also you should add "Distinct" to show one of each status.
