If we want to classify, summarize and extract key info from documents uploaded/edited inside a SharePoint document libraries. seems we can do this using AI builder inside power automate which get triggered when add/edit a document or using the Knowledge Agent, mainly the "Organize this library" option.

can any one advice when you use each?

As the above is in Preview, I do not recommend using Preview features, especially if you mean this for us in real world, production ready instances.

Doing so can impact you until it goes QA.

That being said, there is a big difference between a singular activity of a single document and the ability to Copilot to Organize an entire library automatically.

Where-as with Power Automate, you are talking about a per instance run for a document. Now you can of course build a flow that can read multiple documents but it requires you to create all the terms / building the model etc, when the Copilot feature is fully there, it will be a better option for larger scale requests.

If you have just smaller requests then using a flow to resolve your OCR / categories / classifications etc is better then using the entire feature.
