Hello all,

I found what I thought was a a simple way to refresh a Power BI dataset connected to a SharePoint Folder.

There are just two steps, "When an items is created or modified" (Sharepoint) and "Refresh a dataset" (Power BI).

It sounds great, except that I replace two spreadsheets at the same time in the sharepoint folder and this causes a double execution of the flow, leading to the following error:

Invalid dataset refresh request. Another refresh request is already executing.

Could you suggest a change to this flow?

Hello ADelicado, I had the same issue this morning I ended up adding a 2 minute time before the Power BI refresh.

Hello,
I think the reason for the error is parallel refresh. You can set up conditions for triggering such as when the file name is XX, and then have another similar flow to refresh BI by using the other spreadsheet triggering with some delay setup to avoid the refresh conflicts.

How do you add that? And will that not miss the updates within the 2 minute time frame?

I'm getting this error, but the real issue is that I'm using the free version of Power BI, and this version only allow 8 data refresh every 24 hours. So, it was working fine all the time.
