Multiline Textbox will not allow ENTER or paste of multiline text

I have customized a SharePoint list form in PowerApps. The last multiline textbox shown on the form (lowest to bottom) does not allow for Enter to be pressed nor does it preserve multiline text that is pasted in.

I have verified that the field in SharePoint is exactly the same as the other multiline fields in the list. I have also verified that within the PowerApps form customization UI every property is exactly the same as other fields that work as expected.

The screen shot below shows two fields, one that works as expected, and the one that does not.Annotation 2020-07-27 134216.png

I'm a bit stumped as to where to look next.

    Hi @RCPowerDog :

I suggest you use the Rich Text Editor control to replace the textinput control.

I'v made a test for your reference:

Thanks for the reply. Once I changed it changed it to Rich Text but did not change anything on the PowerApp form, it now works. Because I did not change anything on the PowerApp form, it still looks and behaves like plain text but now supports the multiline as it should.

I've been working with SharePoint for years and never seen weirdness like this, but I'll take the win.

For me, it was a different case.

When Multiline field added to Power Apps, the text control "Mode" property remained as "Singleline". Changing Mode to "Multiline" solved the issue.

Adding here in case if it helps someone.
