Where to place a logo for new Power Automate Connector using Microsoft Partner Center

Hi,

We're seeking advise on where to place a logo when publishing a new certified Power Automate Connector using Microsoft Partner Center.

This a documentation link we follow:
Prepare Copilot Studio and Power Platform connector and AI-enabled connector files for certification | Microsoft Learn

This is the structure we have:
Screenshot of the folders and files in a zip file for a certified connector to be certified.

We submited our connector via Microsoft Partner Center. It has passed the certification stage and then moved to testing where we found out it's missing a logo.

Where in the structure above we should place the logo to be used by the connector?

Thanks

    You mean the Icon ? that is only applicable for verified publishers, but not for independent publishers...

    I guess it might be described in openapidefinition.json (in the article from your link) or you upload it when you edit the connector, pack it with the solution.

    @stampcoin,

    Yes icon. We're verified publisher. We are uploading a connector using Microsoft Partner Center for the first time.

    The property you mentioned openapidefinition.json, doesnt give us enough information. The part you mentioned, only describes iconBrandColor.

    Could you please clearly state where exactly within the ConnectorPackage.zip it should stay. Moreover, which file and property should point to it? Bet to give an example with the structure.

    Thank you.

    If you already uploaded the icon see below ( you might already have it done),  the icon should be part of the submission.
    check this article.
    • Submit the logo in PNG format as <icon>.png.

    I believe I found a bug in the place pointed by you. What happens is:

    1) I create a custom connector as per documentation. I add a logo:

    The logo is added and it's visible on edit screen and on list page (customer connectors), but when i leave the screen and refresh after few minutes the list view indicates a missing (broken thumbnail) image and when i go to edit I got this error message:

    "Failed to download original icon of the custom connector."

    I understand this is a bug, so I would like to report it first and ask if there is a workaround? Maybe there is something wront with our logo, but the validation is not telling us?

    Perhaps that's why the logo is not visible when we go through certification process on Partner Center?

    Additional details:
    When i inspected a link to an icon on list view after it's aploaded it shows:
    https://pafeblobprodcy.blob.core.windows.net/............
    And works fine after copied into a browser, but after a minute or 2 when i try to reload the same url it gives this error:

    <Error>
    <Code>BlobNotFound</Code>
    <Message>The specified blob does not exist. RequestId:94783114-701e-0037-0b72-c509e6000000 Time:2025-05-15T08:25:05.1088533Z</Message>
    </Error>

    Did you double review the icon requirement ? (below referred from Microsoft doc).
    • Create a logo with 1:1 dimensions within a range of 100 x 100 to 230 × 230 pixels (no rounded edges).
    • Use a non-transparent, nonwhite color (#ffffff) background, and not-default color (#007ee5) that matches your specified icon background color.
    • Ensure the icon is unique to any other certified connector icon.
    • Submit the logo in PNG format as <icon>.png.
    • Set logo dimensions below 70% for the image's height & width with a consistent background.
    • Ensure brand color is a valid hexadecimal color and shouldn't be white (#ffffff) or default (#007ee5).

    I couldn't repeat the problem what you got.  It might be a bug which triggered by certain condition.
    If you have a smaller size icon, try to use that one, use a private mode of the browser or different computer.
    meanwhile try to contact partner center ( on the top left menu,  help+support.)
