Excel List Rows filter stopped working

Hey everyone. I had a flow that was working just fine until today. In my flow I have an Excel List rows in table action that filters uses the following filter: contains(Course,'@{items('For_each_course')?['CourseID']}'). Today the filter has been failing and returning rows that do not even remotely meet the criteria. As an example, course id was equal to CLIC-4-13-20 and one of the results returned was EUTP-12-12-19.

Help? Like I said, it was working fine until today.

    Hello @fsudler1

Could you share a picture of the flow configuration on the excel action.

And the flow run, showing the filter not acting correctly

    Thanks

Sure. Here you go. I am wondering if there is a problem with the connection being corrupted now, but it still pulls data from the sheet.

By the way, I have tried deleting and recreating that activity and the problem still remains.

    Hello @fsudler1

Have you tried using a different Odata filter, like:

    Course eq 'FPL-4-14-20'

I have not because the data does not always match that form, so I have to use the contains filter.

I wound up creating a new flow and testing the filter which was successful. Since that worked, I recreated the flow in a new instance. If that works, that's great except I can't understand why it stopped working correctly in the first place. This isn't the first time I've had to recreate a flow and it's a bit of a pain that that was the fix.

    Hmm yes, that is strange.
Maybe an issue/bug with excel connector..
I usually like to list all records. Than use a Filter array action.

This is more reliable and can be configured in many ways
