Need Power Automate to generate a sequence number as part of each entry in sharepoint

Hi All,

I am quite new to Power Automate, so please bear with me.

I have created a flow which create a sharepoint record entry everytime an email(with specific subject) is received in my outlook.

My requirement is to create a sequence number in sharepoint with each addition.

Is that possible? If yes, then how.

Thankyou in advance for the help.

    Hello @PowerUser007,

in a SharePoint list there's an already existing column name "ID" that represents the unique number for each created item.

Are you referring to that column?

Please let me know if the issue is fixed.

Not yet. And it is not the ID column. I will create a single line text column which should have sequence number in it to track the number of entries

    Hi @PowerUser007 ,

What rules do you want these serial numbers to be generated?

If you want to generate a non-repeating sequence number, you can try :

    formatDateTime(utcNow(),'yyyyMMddHHmmss')

Sequence number should be +1 from the last entry of the sharepoint.

    Hi @PowerUser007 ,

    You could try:

1\list all items and order by the 'sequence number' column

    vbofengmsft_0-1662009424973.png

2\get the first function to get the first item's 'sequence number' to get the greatest 'sequence number'.

3\Use the int function to convert the 'sequence number' to int number.

4\use the add function to do +1 to get the new 'sequence number'

    Best Regards,
