Only move files and not folders

Hi All,

I've created a PA flow to automaticaly move files from a SharePoint General folder to another folder within the same site. The goal is that when someone Posts a file in this site it will automaticaly will be moved to a sub folder. After testing the created test flow below it had moved alle folders as well. What am I doing wrong? (sorry that it's in Dutch Language)

    Hi @tomsnelders ,

Please try this, instead of having a recurrance as the trigger, use the following 'When a file is created in a folder' (I don't know what this is in Dutch 😅 )

    1. Select the folder from where you want to move files.

    2. In the move file action put the ID in the file to move and find the subfolder within destination folder.

Please let me know if you have any futher questions!

    Hi @Heartholme ,

The file is moving to the destination folder nicely, but only when I manualy trigger the flow.

Should I maybe start with a reacurrence step?

    Regards,

    Tom

    Hi again @tomsnelders ,

Try placing a new file in your first folder. It should trigger every time a new file is put into the folder (and that will be the trigger of the flow instead of a timely reccurrance.)

Let me know how it goes 🙂

If this solves your issue, please mark my answear as solved, so other people can find the solution easier.

    Hi @Heartholme,

I've tested it on a test site within my company and it worked great! Next step is to implement it with a client of us!

    Thanks for the help!
