I am in the same situation as this user; however, I don't understand his solution.

Hi @dyee4613,

I have made a test on my side and don't have the issue that you mentioned, my flow works well to set content approval status.

Please share the full screenshot of the error run history of the "Set content approval status" action so we would get more error message of your flow and provide a proper workaround for you.

Thank you @v-yuazh-msft. I'm very new to Flow so please let me know if I'm missing anything in my documentation.

Hi @dyee4613,

The error message told that the contentModeration on the list is NotEnabled.

The "Set content approval status" action would be used to set the item's approval status for those require content approval lists.

Please check if you have set the list to require content approval for submitted items as screenshot below:

And if you set the list to require content approval for submitted items, the flow would works well.

Hi Alice,

For my sharepoint list, I only want to approve newly created content, made by the team, using your stated method.

I want them to own the entry after the initial approval, and they can provide status updates as often as they like. However, using the Content Approval method under Versioning Settings, it also requires workflow approval any time the list item is modified.

I want it to be set up such that the only approval required is for item creation, not for any change thereafter. Is this possible through the versioning settings system outlined above?
