Customizing the Registration Form for Power Pages

Hello,

does anyone has achieved a customization of the registration page by adding new fields and actually storing the value in the belonging contact table?

Lets say I want to add new field like shown below and in the blog post at Add new fields on registration page or Edit Registration Page in Power portal | Softchief Training

The new value should be directly stored inside the contact table as user accept terms and conditions by the first registration.

In our case the request is coming from a law department, meaning I cannot let the user submit the profil web form one step later.

Any suggestion is appreciated. Why Microsoft is not letting us add new fields to that form by default is another question to ask...

As far as I am aware there is no supported way to add an additional field to it.  The example in your link they add the field and then store its value in local storage and then populate the value out of that local storage when the user gets pushed to the Profile Page.

My question would be why does it have to be at register, why can you not put it on the Profile Page? There is a Site Setting that will not allow the user to do anything unless they have submitted the Profile Page.

You alternative would be to not use Local Login and use B2C instead and add your custom field into the B2C form (then claims map the value back to the Portal).

    Hi @Fubar,

    came to the same conclusion.

For example terms and condition mention, that your account will be deleted after not being used for several months etc.

The user must accept by registration that his mail for example is stored and his account data, even when there are not many at that point, will be used for further analysis etc. Some of those things are mandatory by law.

Maybe it's fine to inform the user itself but that's for the law department to decide.

Probably just need to word your terms and conditions to cover the different scenarios.
