For Each being generated on When New item is created...seems like a bug

I have been using Power Automate for years, today when I go to "When a New Item is Created" and then simply do a compose for the ID of that item, or Get Item with the ID of the item created, a For Each loop is created.  How can this be, there is only one item created and it sure seems like a bug that has just started today.  I tested on 3 environments, this is an odd behavior and is anyone else seeing it?

Which properties are you referencing? Is any of the properties an array?

In the Apply to each what is the feeding array property set to? That will tell you what Power Automate sees as an array.

O.K. let me go over it again with a screenshot.  I have a trigger set as SharePoint - When a New Item is Created, I then have an action of Compose (used for testing really) and I ask it to compose the ID of the single item that was just created and it throws it into a For Each box.  there is no array, there is one item created and one ID for that item.  I think its a temporary bug.  I have never seen this behavior before.

Also the apply to each property is set to triggeroutputs (body/value)

So if you look at the trigger output the value property doesn't start with [ and end with ]?

sorry, was just typing fast from memory, actual output is triggerOutputs()?['body/value']

I've just reproduced the problem.  This seems to be an issue with the new Designer UI. If you switch back to the classic designer then it will work as expected

Alternatively you can set the Split on setting as above.

Thank you Peter, I'll mark that as the solution, however this morning the odd behavior seems to have stopped in the new UI, not sure what happened but it's good to know I'm not crazy and you were able to duplicate the issue.  Another 2 hours of unbillable time I guess.

footnote, when I tried this, because it started happening again, there are no values to select from the dropdown.  It's back to the old UI for now!!!
