Power Automate - Bad Gateway & Hitting Action Limit

Hi All,

I work within a Health & Safety team as a Data Analyst/Admin and have created a 'QR System' for each of our sites to use to measure their Tidiness, LOLER Compliance, COSHH Compliance etc to help them achieve internal goals.

I have quite a few Power Automate flows per QR system for each site, each with around 3 actions on in order to pull data off of Microsoft Forms and put it onto an Excel spreadsheet which is stored on a SharePoint Portal for each site. For some reason, one of the QR Systems that is used the most seems to fail quite abit on each of the Zones, the most being 63 failures in the past week.

For this particular QR system there are 5 Zones, each with their own flow and each with 3x Actions on which are basically 'Get the Microsoft Form > Get the response details > Add a row into a table with the answers from that particular response', I seem to get the 'Bad Gateway' and ' Looks like your flow's operation is hitting an action limit designed to protect the connector service being called.' errors quite a lot with these flows, even though from what I can see there are only 3x actions on each. The flows seem to run fine late on at night ~11pm to ~3-4am but then during the day they seem to not be able to run as well and fail quite often.

Is anyone able to help with this? I've searched both errors quite extensively but cant seem to find a reply that fixes the problem.

An example of my 'All Runs' page, as you can see it runs fine early in the morning but seems to have problems during the day.

Any help is appreciated! 🙂

    Hi,

To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the following steps:

    1. Check the logs for your flows to see if there are any error messages or other issues that could be causing the failures.
    2. Verify that the authentication credentials you’re using are correct and that the account has the necessary permissions to access the connector service.
    3. Try running the flows during off-peak hours to see if this resolves the issue.
    4. Consider breaking up your flows into smaller, more efficient flows that use fewer actions.

    Gill
