PowerAutomate Crashes During Flow Edit

I'm new to this.  I'm following a Youtube tutorial.  Half way through the tutorial Power Automate crashes (implodes) and my whole machine goes wacky (MS Surface w Windows 11), so I reboot.

When I open up Power Automate again - there are no flows!  nothing.  So I recreate the flow with the same name, and it gives back the name with "copy" at the end - so briefly I have hope that all my work is not lost.  When I try to switch to the original flow i get an error window:  Power Automate error, the current flow belongs to a solution with disabled customizations and can't be edited.  Select another flow or change the solution settings.

I wasn't able to do anything (mostly because I had no idea what to do) and I got the idea that I might exit, reboot, reload, and live happily ever after - but no such luck.  The original file disappeared for good this time.

Can someone help me understand (1) why this might have happened, and (2) what I should do next time (like... actionable steps?)?

oops.  that came in kinda large.  I was also searching the eventvwr logs to try and determine the cause of the implosion - but I wasn't sure where to look... what is the common cause of windows conflicts(?) it used to be drivers - but now it seems to be file/profile locations... or credentials when you have multiple cloud accounts?  i dunno.  thanks in advance for any help.

That seems to be the latest version, and it doesn't seem to be as buggy as prior versions.

You may want to have the task manager / resource monitor running next time you try to open PAD. Maybe there's a memory leak somewhere.
