Hi,

I'm a new to the Office 365 / SharePoint Online / Microsoft Flows.I'm looking for a help in developing a flow.

Steps:

1. User 'A' submits the form that requires manager 'M' approval

2a. A sharepoint task should be created for Manager 'M' with the due date (Form has the due date)

2b. An approval email to be sent to Manager 'M' - in parallel

3. Upon approval or rejection by Manager 'M', the task should be marked as complete.

Thanks.

    Hi @New-Bie,

Could you please explain a bit for the form mentioned in step 1?

If you mean SharePoint form, then currently this is not supported. SharePoint form is based on Data view feature, and Data View don't support SOAP and REST Web service connections.

So if hte form you mentioned here is a SharePoint form, then I think this is not available.

If not, then the following steps should all be available to achieve.

Currently the available form triggers is listed in the image below:

For the parallel action, we could first create the Task, then send the Approval Email, once the Manager Approved, Update the SharePoint Task status.

    Regards,

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

    Thanks for your message.

I have created a SharePoint custom list and it gets updated once the form is filled and submitted by the users. I'm using Microsoft Flow for an approval process - in parallel to that wanted to create a SharePoint task for the Manager automatically (may be through the same Flow as a parallel step)

Once the Manager approves or Rejects the submitters request, the SharePoint task should update as completed.

Please let me know if you need more info.

    Thanks.

Looking into the same scenario, any plan to include sharepoint task integration in flow ? Instead of Outlook tasks ?
