Fetch attachments from unread emails dynamically without the usual manual login

Hi,

Can I add email id dynamically rather than using login given in Gmail or outlook action in a single flow?.  I need a flow with a text box fetching the user credentials from the user. Then the user credentials need to be automatically entered to the login action and complete the authentication so that attachments from the unread mails can be fetched from the corresponding email id and exported to a folder in google drive corresponding to the same email id. Hope the use case is clear. Is there any way to complete this use case?

    Hi @Anonymous

    You cannot use flow to get other users’ credentials.

    For if you get those credentials, they will appear in outputs, which means the flow owner is able to see these credentials (which violates personal privacy).

    But you can create a flow as below to fetch attachments from newly-arrived emails and import them into google drive:

    The flow instance here use OneDrive for Business connector to complete ‘create file’ action, but you can use the Google drive connector with the same content.

    Ps. If the attachments in the email are from cloud rather than local computer, the flow couldn’t get the attachments. So, just be sure the attachments are from local computer.

    @v-yiwenxie-msft ,

    Thanks for the reply.

    I'm trying to fetch attachments from my 2 different email ids and not with others' credentials. Normally for that, I think I need to login with both accounts one after the other. I think that won't serve the purpose of Automation. How can I do the same process without changing my flow? I need to design a flow that accepts my credentials and download the attachments from unread emails in a single flow.

    Hi @Anonymous

    If you want to fetch attachments from unread emails from your 2 different email ids in a single flow, you can choose ‘when a new email arrives’ action for outlook, and add an action of ‘get emails’ for gmail. In the ‘get emails’ action, choose ‘yes’ for ‘fetch only unread messages’ and ‘yes’ for ‘include attachments’.

    But if you create a flow for each your email address, the downloading of your attachments will be more on time.
