Hi,
Can anyone please point me to any technical information concerning the infrastructure requirements covering the use of the action Send An Email Notification? I guess its using SendGrid, but are there any other technical information available?
Thanks in advance
Hi @GeoffE
Reference for all connectors can be found here:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/connectors/
SendGrid - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/connectors/sendgrid/
If there is a specific action you need details on then you should be able to locate it by Connector name. Does this documentation help?
You don't need to do anything about ports, config etc. It just sends the email. I'm puzzled as to why you need the technical setup. I have no idea whatsoever about any technical setup - and wouldn't be allowed anywhere near it my company - but the emails from both are sent with no problem at all on Office 365

Hi,
To clarify. This has really nothing to do with a 'flow' as such.
There are two email actions in MS flow:
1: Send an Email
2: Send an Email Notification
The second appears to be using SendGrid (https://sendgrid.com/) to send emails
Presumably, the first uses the internal messaging functionality (i.e. Outlook) in the same way say that Approve emails are sent.
I need to know the technical setup for this specifically - confirmation of what is required in O365 to ensure email notifications are sent using these actions (i.e. ports / config / etc.) as there appears to be no documentation concerning any pre-reqs.

Hi @GeoffE,
Could you share the details of your Flow configuration?
I don't seem to understand what you mean. Do you want to know how to use this action?
You could just compare it to sending a message, and when an expected condition is reached, or a value reaches a threshold, the action is executed and the message is sent.
The email contains the information you configured.
In addition, the connection of this action is preset, which is the account of the Flow you are currently logged into.
If you have other questions, please feel free post back.
Best Regards,
