Is there any way I can call or use AI Builder through Power Automate Desktop?

I’ve created an AI model to extract data from images, but I found that I can only use this AI through Power Automate cloud flows. So I’d like to know if there’s any way I can call or use it through Power Automate Desktop, because the process I’m working on requires the data extracted from the images to continue.

The reason I’m not using the 'Extract text with OCR' action is because the images are quite difficult to read, as they come from documents photographed with a mobile phone. That’s why I prefer to use the AI model that I’ve trained instead.

You can leverage AI Builder (Preview) in Power Automate Desktop. Do you not see the actions?

Otherwise, you would need to do something like:

1) Create an HTTP Trigger in a Cloud Flow, call it from PAD, pass the image, do what you want in the Cloud AI Builder, then respond to yourself and use in the PAD flow

2) Drop the file somewhere that triggers PA Cloud to process it and put data somewhere that triggers PAD directly

Can you take a look at the AI Builder in PAD and see if that helps or not? You didn't specify what details you are pulling, but if its text, you should be able to use PAD

Hi Michael @Community member,

I searched for Action AI Builder in PAD, but it’s not there. Do I need to enable some function in order to see the action?
Here is the version of PAD I’m using.

Please dont search. Just click New flow

then see if its in the list or not like in my picture

Show me a picture of your Actions when you click NEW Flow. You can see it in mine.

I guess it could be a regional thing though. What tenant do you have GOV???

I tried creating a New flow to check the actions as you suggested, but there’s still no AI Builder.
My company is a Microsoft partner in Thailand, and I believe the tenant I’m using should be Commercial.

Can you verify that you have AI / Copilot etc turned on? Do you have a license? Even a trial?
