Co-pilot fails to read an updated file

Hello.

I am using the O365 copliot (https://m365.cloud.microsoft/). I have an excel file that contains 5 rows of data contained within a couple of columns. Very simple structure. If I upload the file on Copilot for the 1st time, copilot reads the file and I can prompt it about the contents of the file. If I update the file by adding a new row of data and I upload the file again on the same session, copilot sees the file, overwrites the one already in onedrive and reads the data correctly. If I update the file by changing the content in one of the rows and I upload the file, copilot overwrites the file in onedrive once again but when prompted about the contents of the file, it fails to see the updated content and returns data from the previous uploaded file. Has anyone seen this or is there a way to bypass this limitation?

Regards

We have answered a similar question in another thread.

This is likely because Copilot caches the knowledge or indexes files for faster retrieval.

    • Go to the Knowledge section in Copilot Studio and temporarily remove the SharePoint library or other data sources connected to your bot. After removing, wait for a few minutes and then reconnect the same data source. This should force Copilot to re-fetch and re-index all available documents.
    • After making changes (like deleting files from the knowledge base), make sure to re-publish the bot. Go to the bot settings in Copilot Studio, and ensure that it is published with the latest changes. This may force a re-index of the data.

    Thanks.
