Dear Community,

I have a Microsoft Form which sends data into a Sharepoint list.

Right now it gets inserted into column "Hotel"

I have created a look-up column "Modtager Id"

How can I attach my Sharepoint entry to that and let it me dynamic?

I have peeked the code here is my Sharepoint entry.

"item/UDFYLDTAF""@outputs('Get_response_details')?['body/r4c31dd4914ba435ab8cc3fef4d68e2af']"

I am unclear on how ModTager ID related to the hotel? Can you explain:

    • Are users selecting the ModTager ID from the form?
    • Are you going to be looking up ModTager ID from some place else based on what hotel the user selects from the form?
    • Some other way of getting ModTager ID unrelated to either of these...

    Dear @ccc333ab

Thanks for replying, I am for sure maybe on the wrong path.

I tried to use calculated columns in an Nested if on Sharepoint. If they pick hotel A - Give me this e-mail address etc. via. a Calculated Column.
Sharepoint has a limit of 8 on nested ifs. I have 16 hotels.

So now I am going down on this road.

I have a Microsoft Form where the user picks hotels from a dropdown - 16 hotels.
They are matching the ones I see here - If I press on the dropdown.

Thats why I hoped I could somehow input that response here, fill out the look-up column dynamically and get my e-mail 🙂

OK, so what you will have to do is to lookup what the ID from the lookup table, and insert that into that column. So something like:

    1. Before your Create Entry box, add a Get Items call to your lookup table (the one that contains the that contains all the information about the ModTager ID).

    • I'm going to assume this table is called ModTager
    • I'm going to assume there is a field in your ModTager table called "Hotel" that is the connector

    2. This will return an array of results where Hotel eq your form choice of hotel. Since there should only ever be one value returend, I will grab the ID value of the first item in this array using this compose call.

    3. Now when you add in your Lookup value, you would pass in this output from the Compose call.

Note: When you go to add in the Compose Output, click the "Enter custom value" at the bottom of the list.
