Get Response Details - Group Form

Hello! I am hopeful someone will come to my rescue. I have been spinning wheels on one part of a much larger flow and continue to receive errors. My goal is to pull responses from a group form and then apply those responses to an existing SharePoint list. From what I have found on the internet, I understand you cant use a group form the same way you would use a user form with regards to the response id. So, I have used the dynamic content list of response notifications response id which puts it into a apply to action. However, now I can't figure out how to pull the content into my list. If I use update an item the dynamic content for the columns will not pull in automatically and if I use expressions I get this error:

I found what seemed to be a crazy workaround that I started to apply here with the send HTTP request to SP action but after using two of those then you have to save an excel file and then pull from the table inside the excel file. I can certainly go back down that path but seems like there should be an easier solution. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

    Hi,

could you share the screenshot of entire flow- need to see the location where the update item is kept?

Also is it necessary to use a loop around the get response details action - if no you can avoid that by toggling on this option in trigger settings

    Hi Nived,

I do not think the loop is necessary but it seemed to be the only way since the form is a group form, if that makes sense. This part is one branch of a larger flow. So essentially a different form is submitted which adds an item to the SP list and then notifies people. Then once a selection is made through approvals categorizing the entry it sets off a condition to whatever that item is labeled. For this particular category I needed to be able to collect multiple items from the process owner so a form was the only way I could think to do so. You will see in the screenshots the owner receives an email with a link to the said form. But my challenge is once the second form is submitted I am struggling to figure out how to connect it back to the original list with the responses. Using update item, coupled with on the form the user has to input the ID from the list of the item they are responding to (provided in the email they receive) which is how I am updating rather than adding a new line in the list but I am not doing something correctly to be able to pull those responses. It seems to me the issue is due to it being a group form rather than a user form. However, we do not want the form to be under an individual. You will see the highlighted fields in the last screenshot which are the columns I want to update from the form responses but no dynamic content will show connecting the pulled information just the list of responses item that is used in the get response details action. What am I missing to pull the actual responses?
