PowerApp (Published and stand alone) no longer works in Internet Explorer but does in Chrome

A Powerapp I made for one of my customers has stopped working on all the machines in his office. Yet it works on my computer and works on his if he uses Chrome. He gets to the powerapp using the Dynamics 365 link in the App Launcher and it shows the attache. None of the permissions have changed and nothing has been done to change the app. The problem started on Thursday last week 27th July.

When I investigated I saw all sorts of different errors including Auth error and 'That link didn't work, please try again'.

I've tried deleting the cache on IE.

We are all using IE11, he uses Windows 7 and I use Windows 10. All use Office 365. The app was created using the installed client of PowerApps. The app has a data connection to SharePoint list in the SharePoint group. All the permissions remain the same.Slide1.JPG

Any ideas?

    Hi cardinalpipkin,

Have you suggested your customer to sign in with InPrivate mode after clearing cache?

I tried to sign in with IE, but I don’t get the error you mentioned.

Could you also suggest your customer to sign in on a different device to see if it will work?

Please try it again and feel free reply if you are still having the issue.

    Best regards,

    @v-yamao-msft,

I tried clearing my cache and signing in using InPrivate browsing, and still get the same error. It works on my mobile device.

I also have the issue, All apps created and opened in IE (11) just go into perpetual loading screen. This has been going on for over a week to both new and old apps. It can be opened up in chrome. Can we please get an update on this? I have checked mobile and it works, however need to have this available for clients in IE.

Also this error is encountered when users attempting click the link, when accessing powerapps and attempting to load the player, when attempting to load to edit th app.

    Hey Everyone,

I found a solution, but I'm not sure it will work all the time.

Go to the settings icon in IE 11 and navigate to Internet Options --> Security --> Trusted Sites --> Sites. Add the following sites and restart the browser:

    https://login.microsoftonline.com

    https://*.powerapps.com

    https://support.microsoft.com

Let me know if this works for other people.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me. Please note that this has been working without any issue until recently. also, some people/ business might have trusted sites locked down as a security protocol.

Thanks for trying and letting us know though. would love to hear from MS what hey have identified.

Part of the frustration is a Microsoft development tool's output not working in a Microsoft browser...  what confidence can we have it isn't going to break in other browsers pretty soon?

I had been re-assured there was more testing of the browser based player happenning, but this issue and it still being prevalent indicates it remains secondary
