Refreshing excel data in unattended mode (Power Automate desktop on virtual machine)

Hello,

I have issue with refreshing all connections in Excel in unattended mode. Using PAD on virtual machine.

Tried already actions with send keys, run excel macro and PS script (screenshots below are related to this last scenario)

On attended mode each scenario worked fine. Refresh took few minutes.

On unattended mode with PAD scheduled flow its succeed with less than 1min:

Excel was saved via script but refresh has not been done/or stopped.. not sure how to debug it:

Connection is OLE DB type. (Connecting with Oracle DB and taking data, very simple SQL query)

PS script:

Please, can You advise where could be an issue and/or how I can debug the reason that its not refreshing in unattended mode?

I am fighting with this topic at least one week...

Thanks in advance for any advise/support on that!

Pawel

Attempt implementing a delay logic between different functions in PowerShell.

Log all activities in a designated log file. Before refreshing the Excel file, check if the excel file is open. Based on this, incorporate appropriate logic to gain insights into your flow.

    Hope it helps!!

    Hello Deenuji,

Thanks for reply. Unfortunately I have very basic knowledge regarding Powershell.. Can advise in more detailed way where exactly and what action You would add for delay in the script?

I have added already 'start-sleep' action for waiting till refresh will be done.. but seems that sth is not working like I would except..

    Thanks in advance!

    Kind regards

    Pawel
