Tooltip not showing - Label in Gallery

Hi, my tooltips aren't appearing on hover for a label inside a gallery.  In the Tooltip field I have ThisItem.fieldname

 

Does anyone have any ideas of how I could fix that?

    That code works for me.  What type of field is fieldname in SharePoint?

     

    ThisItem.fieldname works for text, numbers, etc.

     

    ThisItem.fieldname.Value works for Choices type columns.
