I have a SharePoint List set up to take input from the user and output it into the fields in a word document. I even have it set up to update the document after a toggle. People have ignored this part and only updated the word document itself after it was initially created. Is there a way to work backwards and have the fields in the word document fill out the list item? I would rather not go through hundreds of word documents one at a time to update the SharePoint list to match.
If its a template, its much easier, that or you need to try a couple of things
1) Premium Paid connectors that can access the content in the word document
2) Use the AI Actions to read it
3) Convert it to a PDF, then use AI actions or PDF Actions to get the information.
Its not impossible, but if the documents are just a bunch of people doing whatever and you don't have an easily identifiable "section" etc to look at, then no, it will be like ripping your own finger nails out.
