We have a scenario where access to a data source requires that the user be either directly connected to the company network or connected via a specific VPN.
Is there a way to make the app aware of the user's network connection so that it can show a warning if the network connection will result in access to this data source being blocked?
I think for you want, it is better to put your power app environment to only allow to connect user from the same network.

Setting the correct IPS, will block people from external connection on only allowing device that are connected on the same network.

I think this would be a reasonable approach but isn't what I'd ideally like to achieve.
Most of the app's functionality doesn't require any specific connection and I'd ideally prefer to avoid imposing network connection restrictions on the users.
However, using one feature that accesses a restricted data source does require that the user has a specific network connection.
My ideal scenario is that app checks the user's connection and grays out the feature (with an explanatory warning message) if the user doesn't have a compliant connection.
