Create Outlook Events with read only Premision

Hello,

i would need some help/ideas how to achieve my goal for a leave request system.
I would like to have the outlook Calendar itself in read-only for users, so that its not possible to edit/delete events in outlook itself,
but still via PowerApps/PowerAutomate - After Approval the events should be crated

we have 2 Scenarios.
1.) From the previous System a Calendar i created and Shared with users
2.) for testing we now have created a LeavReuqest User, and created Calendars on this user (3 Calendars, because our Boss would like to have the Sub-Companies in separate Calendars) in this scenario non of the App users would have direct access to the outlook Calendar. and we would give this Account to our FrontDesk, remaining overview of leaves i would display in PowerApps

in both of these scenarios i cant create an event using the "standard" method (Scenario 1 Access denied, Scenario 2 Flow would not even find the Calendar using e.g. my Outlook Connection reference.

how can i handle that?
i did read and watch videos about Service Account (Scenario 2??) and Service principal to run the flows, but im not sure if this is the thing i need to create the Outlook Events.

thanks for your advices,
Thomas

Take a look at this video by Reza Dorrani about running flows with elevated permissions.  The video is for SharePoint, but it should work the same for a Calendar that has been shared with users. You create the flow using your connection, which has Read Write access. Then give all the users Read Only access to the calendar.  Then in the flow settings inside a solution you set the Run Only Users setting to use only your connection when the flow is invoked.  Here's the video.
