Hello,
I have a simple flow. This flow returns a false positive. Here is a screenshot of the flow:
Now this flow kept sending Approval E-mails regardless of the "Truth" of the initial condition. So I entered a Terminate action in the "If No" condtion result. Unfortunately; it seems like the condition continues to move foward, regardless of what value is in my Condition Tested Column.
It is looking for the value of Choice Column. The Choices are:
1 - Submitted
2 - Received
3 - Information Needed
4 - In Progress
5 - Review
6 - Approved
9 - Archived
And I copied the 5 - Review straight from the column's edit tab. Yet, I still seem to be getting false positives when the status is changed to 1 - Submitted, or 2 - Recieved.
What am I missing here? there must be something I am missing.
Hey, So... what I'm saying is that If the Column Task Progress Value shows "1 - Submitted": the Flow Condition Is Equal To 5 - Review will continue the flow as if the column reads 1 - Submitted.
The Switch Case has 18 Cases, Each for the 18 sub sites. Each Subsite has a list of items on it, that I'd like updated IF somethign hits Review Status, (They also have an annoucement that they launch). However, it is still sending the announcement. The Switch Case reads another column in the List, to determine which Subsite to update.
Hi @Anonymous,
Do you mean that some column values are not eligible and will enter If no?
If so, what are the values.
Then I haven't understood the role of Switch. Could you provide some details?
Best Regards,
Barry
What else can I show you, that would help?
I'll gladly take some more screenshots.
Becuase regardless of what's in that column, it seems to just move to the Yes.
Sure I could share a little bit more. The intent of the flow is that we are presenting information between clients in the field and clients at our main office. We are attempting to streamline our ability to accept requests for updating websites, process information on thier behalf.
We chose Sharepoint becuase it is really easy to use for people who know Microsoft products.
They create an item on their list;
I am adding the "Value" of the choice column, which is why I thought it was odd that it wasn't jumping to the NO when the Choice was 1 - Submitted.
But I will try moving everything to the "If Yes" field of the condition. It's just worrysome that the flow is moving forward when I put the Terminate Action in the "If No". field. I thought The Terminate Action prevented the Flow from moving to the next line.
Hi @Anonymous,
Could you please share a full screenshot of the configuration of your flow and more details?
I am afraid I have not fully understood the intent of your Flow.
But from your description and screenshots, if you want to Start Approve when the initial Condition result displayed as True, you should place the following actions including Approve in If yes.
You could check if the initial condition configuration is correct, especially Dynamic Content selects the Choice column value, as below:
And in If no, there is no need to configure any action, as below:
Please take a try and let me know if you have any issue.
Best Regards,
Barry
