TodaysDate Flow Only Running On Some Items In Library

Hi everyone,

I built a flow to update a TodaysDate column to the current date to act as a trigger for another column. I set up the flow to run every morning at 5am using Recurrence > Get files (properties only) > Update file properties. I used the expression 'utcNow()' for the TodaysDate column.

The flow runs correctly for most of my doc sets but not for a handful. I've looked at all the metadata and can't see any reason why it isn't running for the files its skipping. Does anyone have any ideas??

    Hi @lmaddock308,

Do you mean that TodaysDate column of some files in the library cannot be updated?

I am afraid I can not find the cause of the problem only based on your description.

I did a simple test on my side, the properties of the file are updated normally, there is no way to rebuild your issue.

Have you configured Filter query in Get file(properties only) action? If yes, it will also make the properties of some files that have been filtered out not be updated.

Could you provide more details about files that cannot be updated?

Checking from their common characteristics may find a suitable solution.

Please provide more details and we would provide a proper workaround for you.

    Best Regards,

    Barry
