Need to build an app that integrates SNOW data into it

Hi, 

 

My team and I need to build a separate database that integrates information from already created SNOW tickets. We only need a few record types to be pulled from SNOW into this new database. Is this possible? Any suggestions on where to start? 

 

I found this MS Documentation that talks about a ServiceNow connector, but I am not sure how and when to apply it.
