Delay Until Approved

Hello again.  Oh boy i love this forum 🙂

I have a flow that automatically approves a request.  It sends 2 emails.  One is an acknowledgment email and the second email sends the approval information.  I would like to add a delay feature that would give the mgrs a chance to look over the request but also give the ability to stop/deny the request before the delay timer is up.

The process flow would be:

- Request is submitted

- Acknowledgement email goes to submitter

- A 3 hrs delay is started (the mgr will be sent something like an approval request or email with options)

- if the mgr does not deny the request by the end of the 3hrs, the workflow continues and the approval is sent

- if the mgr hits deny, the workflow stops and an email notification is sent to the submitter

Is this a possible?

Thank you for your time.

    Hi @Misa

    Yes awesome forum. Thanks

Are you looking to send the approval for multiple people?

    Thanks

Yes.  Because i flow doesn't like to send to a  distro list, i have to send to multiple people.  If it only can have the one person, then it could also work.

    Hi @Misa

    Try this

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/Approval-flow-send-rejection-notice-even-when-approved/td-p/335286

Also set the timer setting for the timeout

Using the above posts you should be able to achieve your request.

    Thanks

Thank you thank you.  This is what i was looking for.  I was able to get it to work by using a parallel branch.

    Thanks again!
