Date are wrong (Diffrent betw. what enterd on Page and sent by eMAil)

Hi all

I have a flow where you can enter some date and time (with his nice calendar thing)

If the user enters now for e.g..  5/22/2021 12:00 AM and hits “save” everything happen like it must. It’s saved with this information.

My flow sends now an eMail out, the same User, on the Same computer and so on see now in his mail…. 05/22/2021 07:00:00 AM

Magic not? I try everything with formatting and whatever… I need to have the information displayed on the Page like later also in the eMail…

What I do wrong

Here the expression for the 2 fields

formatDateTime(triggerBody()?['START'],'MM/dd/yyyy @ hh:mm:ss tt')

formatDateTime(triggerBody()?['END'],'MM/dd/yyyy @ hh:mm:ss tt')

    Two things to check.  First what data source are you saving the date/time in?  Also, check the time zone that the user is in.  This is normally because dates are entered as the user local date and then saved to a datasource as either a time zone independent value or converted to UTC.  When you retrieve it later to put it in an email its probably retrieving it as UTC.  So to get the same date/time that was entered originally you need to convert the date/time back to the local time zone you expect.

    Hi Pstrok1

    thanks for your help.

    i save the data on my SharepointList - out of this I generate the eMail.

    the Problem what I have is, that users around the globe enter data in this form/list and that everyone can send and also send email around the globe

    so I have no idea what I need to convert.

    for me, it's just important that the Date and Time shows up in eMail what our users receive in eMail are exactly the same as it's in our SharePoint lists

    maybe I just need a Date field without time and a separate text field where they can enter the time

    SharePoint Date Only fields also include a time.  Its just that the time is automatically set to midnight.  So having a Date only field won't help.  The problem sending this out in email is that you probably won't know what time zone a user is in when you send them an email. So there is no way to guarantee that the Date and Time will be in their local time zone.

    H Pstork 1

    thanks for you reply

    I not understand the "why" it works in this way.

    but in my case the important thing is only to get in the eMail what is entered in the database.

    so in my case

    I enter today's date 7 pm I want to have today's date 7 pm in eMail and nothing else. if this is not working, the whole field is useless.

    i do not want to have any convert, just simply get this what I enter in the form
