Trying to email values of muli-selection Choice field ends up nesting Outlook block instead

I originally had an issue with emailing the selected choices from a Choice field (allowing multiple selection) in an Outlook email. I found this response which seemed to provide a solution:

Solved: Re: Return values of multi-choice Sharepoint field... - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

However, when I do this, I want to insert the Field Value of the Choice field into the body of my message. What ends up happening is that the entire outlook email block ends up nested in a 'Based on choice' block.

This is what my Outlook block is supposed to look like:

This is what ends up happening when I try to insert the Incident Type 2 Value field into the body:

I'm hoping the solution is simple (and obvious to someone). Thank you!

    Hi @Miel

You can use a variable to hold the value of a multiple-choice field.
I made a test for your reference (Type column is multiple choice column):

    Hi @v-liwei-msft

This is exactly what I needed. I added the blocks like you did, and the data is showing up in my emails as they should.

An interesting quirk, when I added the 'Apply to each' block and then selected the variable and the field I wanted to add to the variable, it created another Apply to each block nested inside my first one. I just dragged it out into my main flow and deleted the extra block and proceeded according to your directions. Still not sure what's going on there, but I'm grateful for your help solving my main problem. Many thanks!
