Hello. When using PAD Where is the flow definition stored? I would like to save it locally. Is it possible?

I have the same question (0)

Power Automate Desktop (PAD) flows are typically stored in the cloud, specifically in the Microsoft Power Automate service. The flow definition and related information are managed centrally in the cloud environment.

    I think

there might not be a straightforward option to save the flow definition locally.

    Thanks & Regards

    Usha

If you want to save a copy of your flow locally, you can save it as text files by copying all of your actions out of the designer. This is if you want to make a backup of your flows. See here for reference: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-share-export-a-desktop-flow-be5ff7c3-049e-4c8d-a201-01a66232de16?WT.mc_id=M365-MVP-4029057

But the flows themselves are by default stored in the cloud.

    Thank you, that's helpful.
By the way, is it possible to save the default save location locally? I don't want to save it to the cloud (I couldn't find a way to save it in the app).
    Thanks.

No, it is stored in the cloud and you don't really get to opt out of that. As mentioned, the only way to have a local backup is to manually copy all of your flows to text files.
