Setting response ID to a number higher than 1

I've made a form through microsoft forms which I want to act as an incident report, and I want it to generate a unique number or a GUID. In flows I know you can get the response ID which starts at 1, but I was wondering if I could change the response ID to a GUID or at least have it start at a higher number than 1, like 10000. Is this possible through flows and microsoft forms? I've found general information on GUIDs, but not how to use them in these formats.

You cannot control the identifier created by Forms.  Flow does have a GUID expression that allows you to generate a GUID.  In addition, you could use something like a SharePoint list to hold a reference number and use Flow to increment that number.

Can you provide some additional details on what you are trying to accomplish?

What is the GUID expression and where would I enter it?

I am just creating a basic flow that generates an email when the form is completed that sends the detais of the completed form as well as a GUID in the same email.

To use the GUID expression, click on the Expression tab in Dynamic properties and enter GUID and click on OK.  You can do this in the body of an Email.

Do you plan to store the GUID along with info relating to the data received from Forms anywhere?

I tried to put it in the body as stated, but when I click on the GUID expression then click OK it syas the expression is invalid. Here is a screenshot of how I set up the flow.

I plan to store the GUIDs in another program once they are generated.

    Hi @Anonymous,

Please add the "()" at the end of guid, just like this:Annotation 2019-09-23 102758.png
