I have a "Power Automate Free" license on my company account, but then I start Power Automate Desktop, it requires a license.
Does the desktop version requires a "full" license?
@Wassini yes, Power Automate Desktop requires separate licensing (about 40USD per month and user).
@Wassini If your company allows it, you can try PAD with a trial license
Rediculess!
I hate Power Automate more and more.
Actually, it is still one of the cheapest RPA solutions on the market. Once they iron out all the kinks and add some bells and whistles, PAD will be quite decent tool.
Sure usefull for somebody - but I want to create a workflow on a list in Sharepoint. Then this will run for a few years before I have to make any ajustment.
I might create 2-3 workflows per year and maybe someone else needs to maintain it after some years.
We still have what Sharepoint 2013 running as our main Intranet, as it is not possible to make the same workflows in Sharepoint 365.Every time we make a Power Automate (workflow) it uses the employees (my) account and when that employee leaves we have to change everything. So we don't use it and are on the way back to handle everything on paper.
I am not so sure how PAD fits this picture. What you are describing should be doable by ordinary Flow, which is free with most O365 licenses. Sharepoint connectors are not premium. As far as I know improvement of sharing and collaboration is planned and should come somewhere in Q1.
I also heard from other sources stories of employees leaving and companies loosing all their flows... 😞
@Wassini Check this out. It should solve some of your issues.
