Dear all,
I've recently created a service desk-type process using MS Forms, SharePoint and Power Automate and I'm using the comments of the SharePoint item as a continuous chat with the customer. I'm able to POST to the comments using the HTTP request to SharePoint (which they can update via the MS Form), and I'm able to GET the comments to put back into any email updates or ticket closures which is great however, I've just noticed that regardless of who submits the a Form response, the comment author/name is always mine as it's my flow which is posting the comment into the SharePoint item.
So my question is: is there any way to change the author/name of a comment in a SharePoint item using Power Automate?
This is the HTTP request POST action I'm using:
Below is the JSON output from the HTTP request - I've highlighted where the 'text' field is being updated correctly, however is there a way to change the 'name' field using the HTTP Request POST function? As it's a JSON element, I've convinced myself there must be and I just don't know the correct code to use! I've tried probably 20 different things and nothing's working; any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated 🙂 Many thanks.
Regards,
Dom.
