Issue with Adding Dataverse to Generative Answers - Status “Unknown”

Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue with adding Dataverse as an external knowledge source to Copilot Studio. Despite setting up authentication and permissions correctly (as it works fine for SharePoint generative answers), the status of Dataverse columns shows as “Unknown.”

What does this status mean, and how can I debug this issue? Has anyone else faced the same problem?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Update: The status is still listed as “Unknown.” Also I found in the official documentation that the state is not specified..

Can someone tell me where I can find more information about this?

Has anyone else managed to fix this? It’s happening to me too. The environments match, the dataverse table is published, etc.

I have excatly same issue? Can someone suggest any solution?

I found this information on one of the blogs, is it really the case? Is there any custom scope that can be added to Manual Authentication to make it work?

"Another thing to note here is that when you use Dataverse knowledge the authentication of the Copilot needs to be set to ‘Authenticate with Microsoft‘. (When I created my new Copilot this was done automatically.) This means that when a specific user asks Copilot a question, only content that user has access to will be shown. The downside to this is that there are limitations to the channels you can publish your Copilot to. Since this type of authentication uses the user’s Microsoft Entra ID Authentication, the Copilot can only be published on a Teams channel."

I am also seeing this and unable to query my dataverse table.  I assume that no one in this thread is able to query their dataverse table as a knowledge source? The system generated conversational boosting topic just fails even though I have asked it to use the table as the only source.

i am having the same issue. Anyone manage to get this resolved? I even tried it on 2 tenants with same result. I created a table from an Excel file, so data is same on both tenants.

Same here. Has anyone opened a ticket yet? Probably not acceptable because of the preview.
