I recently saw this error start happening on two flows where I use the "Post a feed notification" action.

Prior to today they worked fine (even having run multiple times successfully before this). Nothing has changed in my flows, and I can't seem to find any information about this type of error.

PLEASE HELP!

Unfortunately, my users and I seem to be experiencing the same issue described by OP and in CH-04102120-0's post.

Several end users are expectant of alerts that are automatically posted using a Power Automate flow that utilises 'Post a feed notification'.

This morning, users have reported that notifications stopped very recently and investigating the flow, I see...

Action 'Post_a_feed_notification' failed: The provided flow name '<null>' is not valid.

statusCode 400

Error: "code": "MissingFlowName" | "message": "The provided flow name '<null>' is not valid."

The flow has not been edited since it's creation months ago, and all inputs are as they were; contributory information and data structure is unchanged.

I too am facing the same issue with a "Follow up on a message" Power Automate template.

It was working till Oct 2nd 2024. I was receiving workflow notifications for the messages to follow up. But not since then.

Curiously, a daily scheduled Flow is working well where I post some message in a Teams group chat every workday. But not Follow up on a message.

Any solutions? I have not made any changes.

I tried to setup a new Flow but even that is not working.

Power Automate is really important for our team! Please help!!!

Hi all.

As additional information I can give two examples of failed attempts at my side to fix this.
What I did was as follows:
Post as parameter: filled with my User ID
Notification Type: Team
Post feed notification request: here I tried two possible JSON based on the previously sucessfull executions
1st JSON
{ "recipient": "<MY_EMAIL>", "message": "New alert received", "previewText": "[14.10.2024 06:17:33] Alert for system", "groupId": "<MY_TEAM_ID>", "channelId": "<CHAT_ID>" }

2nd JSON
{ "recipient": "<MY_EMAIL>", "message": "New alert received", "previewText": "[14.10.2024 06:17:33] Alert for system", "channelRecipient/groupId": "<MY_TEAM_ID>", "channelRecipient/channelId": "<CHAT_ID>" }
recipient comes from action to get my user details
groupId comes from action to get Microsoft Team id
channelId comes from the URL of the chat on Microsoft teams

For both cases I don't get the error of the flow but another one "Object reference not set to an instance of an object.". This would indicate a bad JSON, but there's no documentation on what's the correct way to fill the parameters

Started facing the same issue since 30 Sept, 2024. Seems like a breaking API change was rolled out around this date and started impacting flows that are using the Post a Feed Notification operation. The documentation isn't updated with any mandatory fields for sending the flow name either: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/teams/?tabs=text1%2Cdotnet#definitions:~:text=PostFeedNotification

Someone knows how this breaking change can be reported to Microsoft?

I'm just adding that I am experiencing the same issue. The provided flow name '<null>' is not valid when using the Follow up on a message in Teams.
