Help please adding a days old column

Hi there,

I am creating a brand new list and would like to add a 'days old' column once an item is created this value will begin at 0.

It doesn't have to be date specific I just want a column that starts at number one and then have a reoccurrence flow to just add 1 daily. - is this possible?

or can I have a flow that does something like check daily for 'Today's date' - 'created date' = 'this many days'.

Thank you kindly

I would prefer a flow over a calculated column - but if you have a calculated column suggestion I would appreciate it if it works! thank you !

    @Anonymous ,

    It is hard to guess why you prefer a flow over a calculated column (which is a native way to calculate such values).

    To solve this, you need a daily recurrence flow to iterate through all items from sharepoint list and modify the 'days old' column values.

    Be aware that this approach will be limited by your setting property of treshold of items to return (by default is set by powerautomate to 100 items) and also the flow execution time will grow with the number of items from the list.

    The flow should be simple and look like:

    Hi @Anonymous :

    I've made a test for your reference:

    1\My SP list:

    2\The flow:

    Reference Expression:

    div(
     sub(
     ticks(startOfDay(utcNow())),
     ticks(startOfDay(items('Apply_to_each')?['Created']))
    ),
    864000000000)

    I think this link will help you a lot:

    how to get difference between two dates in flow

    Best Regards,

    Bof

    Thank you everyone if you have a calculated column that works I would be happy to try all the ones I have found online say they work and do work but stop working - I found a hack which kind of deleted a column called today and did the today-created column but then that stopped working after a few days.

    If you have an easier solution I would appreciate it - for sure.

    I thought columns hold static data only whereas I need it to be updated daily.

    thank you so much everyone!
