Hi all,
I am trying to build a flow that converts a Word document to PDF and I am using SharePoint to store created files. Flow, I've created, populates the word template and creates a file in the SharePoint library. However, when the action Convert Word Document to PDF is activated I get the following error:
The selected file doesn't exist, please select a valid file and drive.
clientRequestId: ##############
My flow:
I am not sure why does the error say that the selected file does not exist if it was successfully created in the previous step.
Perhaps someone could advise what to do?
thanks a heap! Amazing. Followed you on all social media 😄

Hi @Anonymous
So what you need to do is under the File property click the path and manually select the file name. Then select the dynamic name which is the Display name from SharePoint. Remove the filename which was selected earlier.
@abm , yes the word document is created as expected and it is saved in the sharepoint library.
Tried using the path action, but get the error: The provided workflow action input is not valid.
Hi @Anonymous
Can you see the file in SharePoint? Try getting the SharePoint file content using path (Action Step) and pass on to Word PDF connector and see whether it works or not?
Thanks
@abm, I have tested it with 1,3, 5min delays. Still get an error The selected file doesn't exist, please select a valid file and drive. If the file size is >3MB perhaps the delay should be longer? How big is your file?
@abm , thanks. Interesting.. Will try to add a delay. The generated word document is 3.57MB
Hi @Anonymous
I tried this and worked for me.
How big is this file? Could you please add a delay action step and see whether it works.
Thanks
hi @abm ,
many thanks for the reply. I have tried the method suggested in your link, but still, get the error message about accessing the file.
I have tried checking the path by copy-pasting the location's link and file's link in the browser. The result is that the file downloaded to my pc. Perhaps I should create files in the One Drive because SharePoint has some limitations?
Hi @Anonymous
Check path property Convert word document to PDF action is correct or not?
