Date picker format in Forms

I am using Forms in my personal O365 account and when I setup a date picker it defaults to the US format of dd/mm/yyyy instead of what I need which is dd/mm/yyyy. My Office 365 account is set to the location of Australia and English is set to English (US) when I set it to English (UK) it doesn't affect the date picker

Can someone help please?

    HI @Anonymous

I think the calendar picker picks up the browser settings and not the O365..

But O365 mingles a little bit the configurations. My instance shows up content in English and Portuguese and PT and US regional settings. Honestly it's tricky. For example here's my calendar in a form:

Control is tricky but could you please try to check if, changing your regional settings in your browser / OS, it changes?

Browsers.jpgAs you can see above the browser settings (not my PC settings which are in the correct region and date format) are clearly causing the problem. Also it doesn't matter what the browser setting is when you create the form, it matters what browser you are using to view and complete the form as both change when using different browsers.

    • Firefox (setting correct)
    • Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 (correct date format)
    • Microsoft internet Explorer for Windows 10 (correct date format)
    • Microsoft Edge Beta (Chromium) (incorrect date format)

Problem is I don't know where in the browsers you set the date format.

As others who are using the form are seeing the incorrect date format so I need to know where the settings are.

Either all of the browsers above are honouring my PC system settings except Edge Beta or I am missing where the date format is. When I look at IE7 it appears to use the PC region/date settings but its not obvious in any of the other browsers

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Does this date format have any effect on your creation of Flow? If so, please let us know.

If it has no effect on the creation of Flow, but it has caused you trouble, I recommend you to submit your question to the MS Forms community, where you can get more detailed answers:

    Best Regards,

    HI @Anonymous

Yeah, it's a mess, I know. I get complaints like this, but I warn people to double-check. I think this is something that Microsoft needs to address and fix, or at least provide clear guidelines on where the settings are fetched.

I recommend submitting an idea here:

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Ideas/idb-p/FlowIdeas

Sorry, I can't help more, but as you pointed out, this is something that needs to be fixed.

    I hope this helps.
