Updating Planner Task with attachment file from Onedrive or Sharepoint

Hi all,

I am new to Power Automate and I need help. I have an Excel file that contains name codes, for each name code there is two attachments that can be found in my Onedrive and Sharepoint "namecode".pdf and "namecode".dxf

I want to create manually triggered flow that creates a Planner tasks from Excel to each name code and compares the name code with Onedrive or Sharepoint files and gets the right two attachments automatically from Onedrive or Sharepoint and updates the task with these two attachment files.

I have succeeded to create Tasks from Excel file to each name code but attachment files is a problem.

What I am trying to do is:

1. Flow with Manual trigger

2. Create Planner Tasks from Excel to each name code

3. Update Tasks with two attachment files "namecode".pdf and "namecode".dxf  from Onedrive or Sharepoint

I don't know yet which one I want to use, Onedrive or Sharepoint thats why I put these two options.

If you could also list pros and cons for each service in this case, that would be great.

Thanks!

Planner plan belongs to a Microsoft Teams, right? If so, I would rather store the files in the Teams Sharepoint, so your teammates (thus your Plannermates) will have access privileges to those files by default

    Hope this helps

Yes it belongs in Microsoft Teams. Good point you got there. Thanks for sharing.

    Hi,

I still need help with building the flow. Can somebody please solve that?

    @Olli8

My humble suggestion: please take a try designing your flow, as soon as you find a blocking issue please open a new thread in this forum, so the more info context you can share (flow design screenshots, flow execution screenshots, text errors, etc) the faster you will get a good suggestion

Please note most superusers pay attention to unanswered topics and this one has too many answers so far.

    Happy Flowing!
