Invoking HTTP to PATCH - not supported on target entity set.

Used URL in Graph Explorer on a Get method - worked fine. Trying in my flow with PATCH method - copilot says:

It seems that the error occurred due to an unsupported request on the targeted entity set. To fix this, you may need to
review the URL being used in the HTTP request. Ensure that the URL is correctly formatted and points to a valid endpoint
that supports the operation you are trying to perform.

Trying to add the non-default fields to a newly created user.

Need help finding a way to get this fixed.

See attachments.

Thank you to MikeFL, who helped me get this far.

Thank you,

D

    Hi,

Did you try to do the patch in the Graph Explorer? That's where I would honestly get it working first. Much faster to get that here.

Why are you doing a Select on a Patch? A Select would be a Get not a Patch

    To FLMike,

Thank you for the reply, which was helpful.

Opening a ticket at Microsoft Support. PUT or PATCH - Graph Explorer throws the same error as my flow.
I need to change a setting or something to allow access to this entity set.

Will let you know here how that turns out.

    Thanks again for your consideration.

    1) Remove everything after ? and ? itself in the URL field.
    2) Use the "old" editor.

Thank you for your kind reply.

Sorry but could you tell me what you mean by the "old editor"?

    Thank you,

OK, some things seemed to help - or at least change the error message:
I am a Global Administrator and a User Administrator.
Needed to add a Power Automate Premium license. Done.
There are two Entra HTTP Invokes - Preauthorized or not.
Using Graph Explorer, the PATCH worked fine, updating all fields as I wanted.  Not so in my flow - preauthorized.
Based on messages, I thought the non-preauthorized might be the  one to try. Unable to establish a connection.
As directed, ran the ManagePermissionGrant.ps1 successfully. Created an app in my tenant for https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/users.
Gave consent to the new app wherever possible.
I'm grateful for all the security; but I just want to use a power automate flow to update all fields in a newly created user so it doesn't have to be
                     done by hand each time.

    Still trying.

    Well,

Managed to answer my own post.

If you want to add a new user, the first action to take is Create user in the Entra ID group. See attachment #1.
This part I had right - but this only updated  3-4 properties of the user profile.
The remainder of the properties were done using ... drum roll ... Update user in the Entra ID group. See Attachment #2.

Must have some kind of an award for going the farthest off track - but I learned a lot about power automate in the process.

Thank you to those who responded. Don't underestimate the power of moral support. :)
