Power automate flow in a solution using Environment variables - I cannot add or update sharepoint item

Hi all,

I have a flow that is in a Power Solution and I have environment variables setup for my sharepoint site and sharepoint lists, so I in theory can transport the solution to another environment using ALM. And that works fine, when the flow retrieves data from the sharepoint lists.

However I cant make it work when the flow  UPDATES or CREATES a sharepoint item.
It seems that when environment variables are used, it can not retrieve the sharepoint columns, and then I can not enter the information I need to enter in the specific fields.
It works fine if I setup the Update or create Item directly to the Sharepoint list, but then I will need to update them manually when I move the solution to the PROD environment through ALM.

Things I tried to make it work, but didnt help:
- first setting the Update Item directly to the list, editing the fields, and then switching it to the environment variables
- search for a 'patch' function in flows, to see if I could update a sharepoint item, or create a new, that way (as I can in Apps).

I hope someone has a fix or some advice for this issue 🙂

Best regards

Ingrid

    @iol ,

    Looks like there is something wrong in the way you are setting the variables.

    Would you like to show me on a Teams call?

    @iol as discussed,

    You need to reference the variables from the dynamic selector (not the expressions window)
