When a new Email arrives create a Work item in azure devops with attachments

@abm,

 I am building a flow where when an email arrives with attachments, it should create a work item in Azure DevOps and save the attachments against work item created.I was able to create a flow that generates a work item when the New Email is arrives.

1. But how do I get the attachments as well from Email into the work item?

I know the attachments get stored in one drive/share point and we can get contents from one drive and then send a HTTP request to Azure DevOps but I don't want to use one drive/share point in my flow.

2. A user might insert a screenshots inside the email body itself rather than attachment, the screenshots in email body are coming up broken images in azure devops, A user might do both thing either by attaching images or by adding the screenshots

How can i achieve this, any help would be appreciated

Regards

    Hi @abm I have exactly try to replicate the way you showed in the video and it worked , I'm Shell shocked as why we have we have to go back and make the field "Body is Base64"  set to Yes in HTTP Post request.

    I really appreciate your help and Kindness ,thank you for sharing

    @abm Thanks for doing a video on this, I basically followed what you showed in the video, but I came across the base64 error issue, so here is what I did to get the attachments to work items I basically added the get attachments action in apply to each action and them compose action with the expression "base64(base64ToBinary( body('Get_Attachment_(V2)')?['contentBytes'] ))" and then I passed that output as a body in http post request. That’s it, it then basically created attachments, also multiple attachments from an email, if there is any image in the email body then it also attaches it as attachments.

    Hello Hashcom,

    Tried the same steps but ran into a few issues. Could you let me know what should be mapped for the Message ID and Attachment ID?

    Message ID and Attachments attachment ID did not work well for me.
    The 'inputs.parameters' of workflow operation 'Get_Attachment_(V2)_2' of type 'OpenApiConnection' is not valid. Error details: The resolved string values for the following parameters are invalid, they may not be null or empty: 'attachmentId'

    Also, I have attached a screenshot of my flow.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi @abm ,

    The video was great and it seemed to work; however, all of my attachments are blank.

    Any ideas what might be causing that?
